Silatex® Super

Silatex® Super is a water-based elastomeric acrylic waterproofing coating designed for exposed roofs and exterior surfaces where flexibility, UV resistance, and cost-effective protection are required. It forms a breathable, crack-bridging membrane that performs reliably under harsh environmental conditions.

Suitable Applications

▪ Exposed roofs made of concrete, cement tiles, or cementitious screeds
▪ Roof refurbishment over aged bitumen membranes or asphalt shingles
▪ Metallic roof surfaces and roof detailing elements
▪ Roof tiles, ridges, and service penetrations (pipes, AC units)
▪ Exterior walls and façade surfaces requiring waterproofing protection

Description

Elastomeric Acrylic Waterproofing for Flexible Roof Protection

Silatex® Super is a one-component, water-based elastomeric acrylic waterproofing coating developed for exposed roof and exterior surface applications where flexibility, UV resistance, and ease of application are essential. It cures to form a seamless, moisture-resistant membrane that protects substrates from water penetration, sunlight, and environmental exposure.

At Everkast, this system is recommended for projects requiring a practical, cost-effective waterproofing solution with reliable performance under Nigerian conditions, including high UV exposure, seasonal rainfall, and temperature fluctuations.

The coating offers high elasticity and crack-bridging capability, allowing it to accommodate minor substrate movement and surface imperfections. Its breathable structure enables water vapour transmission, helping prevent moisture build-up beneath the membrane while maintaining effective waterproofing performance.

Silatex® Super is particularly suited for refurbishment works, as it can be applied over a variety of existing substrates, including aged waterproofing systems, provided proper surface preparation is carried out. It is also easy to apply using brush, roller, or spray, making it a practical option for both new projects and maintenance applications.
